• Dainis Babulis

  Dainis has over 18 years experience in investment management and advisory services, six of them being engaged in the “Investment Management and Advisory Group” in Vienna, Austria. During his career he has been the member of several Supervisory Boards, including the “Riga Commercial Bank”, “Baltic Transit Bank”, “Riga Commercial Free Port”, among others. For two years Dainis has held the position of the Advisor to the Minister of Finance of Latvia. He also was a Member of the Board at “Baltic Motors” and “Baltic Container Terminal”. Dainis has successfully lead the restructuring projects of the insurance companies „Altena” and „Altena Viva”, the factory “Druva”.

  Dainis is the Founder and Senior Partner of the DB Partners. He has always participated in leading roles in our investment projects, leading the process in the project initiation stage, set-up stage, fund raising, investment and exit stages. He has been a Board and Council member in our investment projects “Baltic Motors” and “BM Auto”, “Express Travel”, “DiaMed”, “Euro Auto” and other projects.

  Dainis holds a BA (Economics) at the Latvian State University.

• Maris Blumbergs

  Maris has over eleven years experience in financial planning and controlling, financial due diligence, raising finance and planning and executing investments and investment exits in the automotive, logistics, transportation, real estate, retail, healthcare and other industries. He has also participated in several IT systems implementation projects and developed in-house management systems in various companies. Maris has lead the restructuring of internal reporting systems, and the budgeting and forecasting stages or Financial Monitoring Services.

  Before joining DB Partners and by participating in DB Partners projects, Maris has worked as a CFO, consultant, analyst and financial manager in companies such as “Ventspils Reiss”, “Baltic Motors”, “BM Auto”, “Taka Esse” and “Euro-Auto”.

  Maris has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Latvia and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

• Karlis Babulis, FCCA

  Karlis has more than 9 years experience in financial planning, structuring, financial due diligence, raising finance and planning and executing investments . Before joining DB Partners, Karlis was a Senior Consultant with the PricewaterhouseCoopers Latvian firm, with two years experience in audit, followed by two years experience with financial due diligence, valuation and corporate finance projects. During his tenure with PwC he has participated in several assurance projects in the banking, retail, construction, tourism, production and other industries. As a financial consultant in the PwC Transactions department, Karlis has participated in several financial due diligence, company and asset valuation, distressed business analysis, financial modelling and corporate finance projects in the logistics, tourism, communication, banking and insurance and other industries.

  With DB Partners, Karlis has participated in various cross-border investment evaluation projects, and has lead the financial due diligence and monthly monitoring report stages for Financial Monitoring Services. Karlis also was the project Manager for “Adazu Glabsanas Dienests” and “Vidzemes Mezu Fonds 1” investment projects.

  Karlis has a Master’s degree in Finance from BA School of Business and Finance in Latvia. Karlis is a Fellow of the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).

• Janis Grinbergs

  Janis has more than 9 years experience in providing legal services at the Attorneys at Law office as well as individually practicing as a corporate lawyer. Janis has provided various legal services, such as analysis and legal organization of contractual commitment, real estate deals, and debt collection, in the construction, communication and transportation, production and other industries. Furthermore, Janis work is focused on establishing and developing commercial environment, including overseas branch operations, legal set-up and organization of companies and the provision of services as an in-house lawyer.

  With DB Partners, Janis is the legal responsible for whole legal process related to investments, including preparing share purchase agreements for “Adazu Glabsanas Dienests”, “Euro Auto”, preparing      complete sets of managerial documents, restructuring of a business entities, and negotiation in dispute situations. Janis has also provided cross-boarder tax advisory services.

  Janis holds a Bachelor’s degree in law (University of Latvia), and is acquiring Master Business Administration at Riga Business School. Additional law studies have been obtained in Concordia International University of Estonia.

• Dita Stromberga

  Dita has over 14 years experience in providing accountancy services, most of which in the Chief accountant position. Dita has a thorough understanding of the full range of accountancy issues, including tax optimization and representation of companies in discussions with tax authorities. Dita has worked as an in-house chief accountant in the IT, communications and advisory industries, and has provided in-house and outsourced full scale accountancy services to companies in the health care, tourism, advisory, constructions, entertainment, insurance brokerage, wholesale, production and logistics industries. Since joining DB Partners in 2009, Dita leads DB Partners’ accountancy and tax advisory services, where she has participated in building up a strong client base, and has provided numerous cross-border tax and accountancy advisory services. Dita leads the internal financial restructuring process in our Investment projects.

  Dita has a Master’s degree in Accountancy from the Latvian University. Dita is proficient with most accountancy systems commonly used.
